6. The Big Kite

At the time when the Cultural Revolution was the worst in China, on a bright and sunny spring day, a group of us kits began to make kites fly kites; then our older brothers and sisters replaced us to make real kites, and finally, our parents who because of political stand different and sew each other like enemies, also joined in and began to make kites, fly kites. The kites let us, children, forget hunger, let our parents temporarily forget the struggle with each other, forget the suffering with life. Since that day, we have nicknamed teacher Chen “the Big Kite.”
I hope our motherland: There was no Cultural Revolution again, no bad people, no “Cold War,” no sorrow, and no troubles; when our children are hungry, they have food to eat; when they feel cold, have clothes to wear. There were only kites, joy, and the warm sunshine of spring.
5. A Mysterious White Cat

To this day, I do not know if there is a mysterious connection between my friend Mei’s death and the white cat. But after that accident, I knew I must cherish every moment with my family and friends; when they talk to me, I must listen carefully to their every word.
There are still so many things in the universe that we cannot explain. They need us to explore more to understand.
4. My Father’s ghost came to see us

We humans are too small compared to the universe and nature; our history is too short. We must have a heart of reverence for the universe and the elders who raised us.
We need to respect everything we understand or don’t understand in life!
The world has many mysteries, and we must be open to things we don’t understand.
3. My Grandma’s Ghost Came to See Us

Although there is no scientific proof for ghosts today, how else would you explain how unusually the animals behaved?
I also prefer to believe they exist because when Grandma died, she must have been worried about her only daughter, our mother, and the five grandchildren who she helped raise. So she must still have wanted to look after them, didn’t want to leave them, so her ghost would come to see us.
2. My Ridiculous Sex Education

We all probably have been stupid once, and later, when we recall that, we feel ridiculous and embarrassed.
1. My once-work

“Today you quit, or we delete you; both are so easy.” I looked into his eyes and said: “But now please first close your eyes and listen to me.”
“Imagine you are standing on a railway; a train is fast like wind and lightning to come, peng! After a big sound…”
I stopped to ask him:”What will you feel before the moment the train hits you.”
He was too scared to open his big eyes.
“Ok, you have been killed. We have to move your body to your home. When your parents see your body, what will they do? how will they feel?” I continued to say:
I saw his face was pale and sweat beaded on his head. He was in tears.
13. High-heel shoes

My daughter first wore a pair of high-heel shoes in her life at her college graduation ceremony;
A few years later, she had another beautiful high heel at her wedding.
No matter how I worried, I knew her life, and she had to go on her own.
12. Just Before the Inauguration

Every social system has advantages and disadvantages. Ordinary people like us only hope we have a job and a salary; when we are tired, we have a bed to sleep in; when we are hungry, we have food to eat; we and our families are healthy and safe! That’s all!

The story of a carpenter.
